Just a girl and her cat…
Welcome! I’m Julie, the owner, founder, and baker at my cottage bakery, Cabin Crumbs. And this is my loyal assistant, best friend, and companion, “Nirvana”.
I’m a business analyst and consultant by day, helping organizations solve complex problems, streamline systems, operations, and processes, and deliver value-driven projects to organizations worldwide. By night (and weekends), I’m an aerial gymnast and dancer, and an avid powersports fan. If I’m not in the kitchen baking, you will find me out on the trails.
Cabin Crumbs was born out of change. In 2020, I was diagnosed with a chronic kidney condition that forced a substantial and difficult dietary change. Also born with a mild lactose allergy, I learned to develop my own recipes using healthy, safe ingredients… and that didn’t taste like cardboard.
In 2021, I relocated to New Hampshire to be closer to family. I was quickly drawn by the woods, the seasons, and a slower, more grounded way of living. Cabin life — cold mornings, long winters, outdoor time, and close-knit communities — quickly became part of my rhythm.
In 2025, I turned 40… and was immediately diagnosed with perimenopause. My body went through a complete upheaval. Recipes that took me years to develop and perfect no longer worked. My body was asking for something different. After months of research, I realized I needed recipes that were packed with protein. I ditched processed ingredients and learned to replace them with healthy, hormone-supporting ingredients—not as a trend, but as a way to keep feeling strong, energized, and capable in a body that was evolving to continue doing the things I love.
Cabin Crumbs is inspired by my lifestyle: wholesome and indulgent. Some days call for protein-packed bites that help you power through a long day or a cold ride. Other days call for a classic cookie that simply makes life sweeter. My recipes are designed to honor both — because balance matters.
Everything I make is small-batch, intentional, made with love, and rooted in the belief that food should support your life — not limit it. Whether you’re fueling a workout, warming up after a ride, or just craving something cozy and sweet, I’m glad you’re here.
Welcome to the cabin. 🤍
P.S. “Nirvana” takes her job seriously… but she stays out of the kitchen while I bake. 🐾
